We’re a charity and non-departmental public body awarding grants across the UK to projects serving the armed forces community.
Since we started our work in 2018, we’ve distributed more than £60m in Armed Forces Covenant Fund grants to projects across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We’ve also managed more than £100m from other funds on behalf of Ministry of Defence, HMT and the Office of Veterans’ Affairs.

Our vision is of a world where the armed forces community can always get the support it needs: a community which is valued and thriving in our society.
How we do it:
Good to know: We fund projects, not organisations.
Every funding programme we design starts with the evidence of need, from those with lived experiences and those providing support.
Our team works with grant partners, experts from a range of universities and specialist research organisations to ensure our work draws from, is informed by and helps to build the national evidence base on the needs of those serving now, those who’ve served in the past and the people around them.
We’re committed to the highest standards of ethics and transparency as a grantmaker.
Our Covenant Fund grant programmes are delivered through a three-year funding framework.
Our strategy is agreed with our government sponsor, MOD, and sits in line with its framework direction to us.
