Grant holders hub

Congratulations on receiving a grant!

If you’ve been awarded a grant from us, our grant holders hub is where you’ll find everything you need to get started, manage your grant with us, report on your progress and shout about your work to the world.

Getting started

You’ll receive from us:

  • an offer letter
  • terms and conditions of your grant
  • information about payments.

Find out about what happens next….

Accepting your offer

Accept your grant offer within four weeks of receiving it, otherwise your offer will lapse. Your Offer Letter, grant Terms and Conditions and Application Form make up our Grant Agreement with you.

Let's talk

Each of our grant programmes is overseen by a dedicated member of our Grants Team. They’ll be in touch with you directly to book in a grant set-up call. We’ll answer any questions you may have, discuss how our grant monitoring works and whether we need any more information from you, which might include things like:

  • a revised budget
  • a milestones document, outlining the key deliverables
  • a draft partnership agreement.

If you receive a capital grant, it’s likely we’ll also ask you for:

  • Proof of tenure
  • Quotes for the works, or a tendering report
  • Planning permission
  • Landlord consent to the works.

Getting your funding

We can’t make any payments until we’ve received your signed offer letter and – if it’s the first time you’ve received a grant from us, or if your bank details have changed – banking evidence.

We aim to make your first payment within 15 days, as long as you’ve submitted all of your completed paperwork on time. However, we recommend you allow up to 30 days. We strongly advise you not to begin your funded project until payment has been received in your account.

Promote your project:

A condition of your grant is to publicly acknowledge your award.

This might include:

  • a press release
  • an article on your website
  • a social media post
  • a presentation at an event
  • a promotional video or other digital resource
  • prominent display of our logo, whenever you are producing items that talk about the grant you have received; or the project that you are working on using the grant you have been awarded

Our comms team may also be in touch for a quote, image or any other information they can use to share news of the work taking place.

Reporting on your grant

We ask everyone who receives a grant award to report on their progress at various stages – we’re keen to hear how you’re doing, and about the impact your award is having.

How often you report will depend on the type of project you’re delivering, and the size of your grant. You’ll find details in your offer letter but as a minimum, you can expect to complete a progress update at the halfway point, and a full report at the end. Reporting also includes evidence of your project’s progress against the outcomes you selected in your application, using the methods you told us you’d use.

Requesting a change

We know there may sometimes need to be changes to your plans, for all sorts of reasons. You’ll need to seek approval for any significant changes you want to make, and the earlier we know, the better. Contact your Grants Officer as they’re here to help you deliver successfully.
