Op ASCEND interim evaluation

Alma Economics was commissioned by the Trust to conduct an impact and economic evaluation of Op ASCEND and the Veteran Industry Engagement Programme. This evaluation seeks to shed light on the programmes’ reach, the impact on veterans’ outcomes, each programme’s delivery challenges and opportunities, and whether the programmes offer value for money.

Targeted interventions supporting older service children

Funded under the Service Pupil Support Programme, This project recognises the hidden and compelling needs of service children in Further Education in Greater Manchester, where the majority are from unaccompanied families and in small cohorts. This project brings together colleges to improve understanding and provide targeted support.

Climb 2 Recovery

Climb 2 Recovery (C2R) is working to redefine what recovery means to veterans through therapeutic mountaineering and climbing.

The Penelope Project

West Mercia Women’s Aid received a grant through the Free from Fear programme to support their project, The Penelope Project- an initiative designed to work with the military service to help domestic abuse victims access confidential, independent advice and support, enabling them and their children to move towards safety and recovery.

Spotlight on: Naval Under Fives

Funded under the Early Years Programme,  Naval Under Fives  are offering extended opening hours to support working service families.

RAF Valley

Funded under the Supporting Partners programme, RAF Valley brings service spouses and partners together, while taking part in a wide range of positive health and well being activities whilst enabling informal support nets to develop.

Veterans Housing Scotland

Funded under the Major Capital Grants Programme, Veterans Housing Scotland delivers an additional refurbishment programme to improve and extend affordable housing options for veterans with disabilities in Scotland.
