From data to impact: A webinar to show the outcomes of the Supporting Armed Forces in Acute Hospital Settings programme

This webinar offers an opportunity to join us virtually and hear from the lead evaluators, the University of Chester, as they share insights into the findings and impact of the Supporting Armed Forces in Acute Hospital Settings programme.

The programme was jointly funded by the Covenant Fund, NHS England and NHS Improvement to support pilot projects aimed at exploring better ways to support Veterans and their families when they are in an acute hospital setting.

Almost £2 million was awarded to 17 projects across the UK.

Data Collection

As part of the programme’s ongoing evaluation process, the Armed Forces Advocates (AFA) were tasked with recording anonymous information about their Service users using an online AFA portal. This data contributed to the quantitative analysis conducted by the University of Chester, which examined emerging trends and findings to produce a comprehensive end report.

The qualitative data was gathered through interviews with the AFAs, as well as one additional person who had either collaborated with or been directly impacted by the initiative.

Is it for me?

The webinar will present the evaluation results from the data collection, provide an opportunity for discussion on the recommendations, and feature presentations from advocates and leaders of funded projects across the UK.
