Strategy Day in Action: Thrive Together at the Poppy Factory, London

January 29, 2025

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust hosted the second strategy meeting for the Thrive Together portfolio leads at the Poppy Factory, Richmond in London.

10 regional portfolios are designed to strengthen support pathways for Veterans and their families across the UK.

A key aspect of the programme is collaboration bringing together representatives from different regions. This allowed them to share their progress, explore ways to evaluate their work, and ensure they were effectively meeting the objectives of the Veteran community.

Lottie Ainsworth Moore, Thrive Together Project Coordinator, reflected on the success of the day:

“Organising this event and collaborating with the portfolio leads to shape the agenda was a rewarding experience. It was the second in a series of 6 monthly meetings which are facilitated to meet the portfolio leads request for in-person gatherings. Regular online meetings keep them all well connected, but this face-to-face opportunity allowed for deeper conversations around critical topics such as evaluation, sustainability planning, and the alignment of the Thrive Together programme with our other grant programmes.

It was inspiring to hear the portfolio leads discuss the projects they are funding following their consultation and to see the dedication they have not only in shaping the connected regional support for Veterans and their families but also in supporting and collaborating with each other’s projects for collective success. I am grateful to them all for their contributions to the day and the high level of engagement and energy in the room.”
