Armed Forces Families Fund supports 84 projects in latest round of awards

We’re excited to announce a series of grants awards made under the Armed Forces Families Fund across three grant programmes supporting Forces families across the UK.

Targeted support from 38 new awards under the Reaching and Supporting Armed Forces Communities programme

The Trust is delighted to announce that we have awarded a further £3.4 million to targeted projects to deliver real change within Armed Forces communities.

Covenant Fund: Funding much needed projects that make a difference

Our three Covenant Fund programmes this year are specifically designed to address hidden or compelling needs for cohorts that may not have previously had sufficient access to support.

NAAFI Fund awards over £850,000 to 80 new Armed Forces projects

The Trust is thrilled to announce that NAAFI Fund has awarded another 80 grants to projects all over the world. These awards support the British Armed Forces and Armed Forces communities.

Supporting veterans in acute hospital settings

The Trust awarded almost £2 million in 2021 to help support our most vulnerable veterans in acute hospital settings throughout the UK. Jointly funded through the Covenant Fund and NHS England, this much-needed funding was available to hospitals to pilot better ways of supporting these veterans and their families when they are most in need.

Sporting Force: cafes, collaboration and care for veterans

In November 2021, the Trust made 10 portfolio awards through our Veterans’ Places, Pathways and People (Veterans’ PPP) programme, funded by HM Treasury. We caught up with sports charity, Sporting Force, who received an award of more than £770,000.
