In June 2024, RAF Akrotiri Families Centre was awarded £30,000 under the MODs Families Fund: Supporting Partners programme to support military families returning to the UK from Cyprus to securing new employment.

A guide to overseas postings

Partner Employment Working Group CIC supports overseas postings

For military families, overseas postings involve more than packing and moving. Employment factors, especially for the non-serving partner must be considered. Including obtaining the right to work in the new country, understanding local law regulations and navigating potential language barriers.

At its heart is connection: bringing together people who understand both care experience and military life.

Targeted interventions supporting older service children

Funded under the Service Pupil Support Programme, This project recognises the hidden and compelling needs of service children in Further Education in Greater Manchester, where the majority are from unaccompanied families and in small cohorts. This project brings together colleges to improve understanding and provide targeted support.

The Penelope Project
