Supporting our veterans

Part of the Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, we’re looking for applicants who have experience of working with and supporting members of the ex-forces’ community facing a range of mental health and wellbeing issues.

Whether sports, heritage or getting outdoors, projects should be active, and activity based. We’ll also be encouraging all applicants to work closely with and seek support from organisations who’ve received funding from our Strategic Pathways Programme.

Fixed awards available

One-year grants of £35,000 and two-year grants of £70,000 are available. This is a rolling programme and will have three rounds.

The cut-off date for the first round is Friday 6 September 2019. If you aren’t ready to apply by then, don’t worry. There will be a further two rounds.

You can apply for existing activities that your organisation is already running, if they fit with our guidance.

Get planning

We encourage Armed Forces charities to start thinking about their project and how their activity will clearly improve veterans’ mental health and wellbeing.

The best applications will be able to clearly show us that veterans really want to take part in the activity that you are proposing.
