First awards made under Veterans’ Community Centres Programme
We’re delighted to announce that the first awards have now been made under our Veterans’ Community Centres Programme and 11 worthy projects will take a share of just over £220,000 awarded to improve the facilities available to veterans in their local communities.
From making centres more accessible for disabled veterans, to modernising these spaces into places that veterans, old and young, can make great use of, there’s now a whole host of refurb work ready to begin across the UK.
Whether new carpets, repairs to a roof, disabled access, improved lighting and more – each awardee showed us that the work is truly needed and is going to make a huge difference to veterans across the UK.
Where do veterans in your community meet?
Do you know of a veterans’ community centre in your local area that could do with a refresh? The programme is still taking applications; and there are two strands to the programme, and it’s a simple process to apply for a grant of up to £30,000.
Find out more about who can apply and how much is available on our funding pages.
