Late Application Policy
Deadline for all programmes: 12:00 noon on a Wednesday*
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, affecting the ability to submit the grant application on time. To ensure fairness and transparency, we have established the following policy for late submissions, this applies to all grant applicants:
1. Notification Prior to Deadline:
- If you anticipate that you will be unable to meet the submission deadline due to a significant unforeseen event (including, but not limited to; medical emergencies, natural disasters) please notify us via – info@covenantfund.org.uk before 12:00 noon on the deadline date.
- Upon notification, we will provide you with the next steps. You will be required to immediately email us any evidence you have, showing that you’ve completed your application offline. This may include; the completed Word version, a previously saved copy of the application form, or any other evidence you have. Providing there is sufficient evidence that you had completed your application ahead of the deadline, we will reopen the online application form to allow you to submit.
- There will be no requests approved for an extension in advance.
2. Encouragement to Submit Early:
- We strongly encourage all applicants to submit their applications well ahead of the deadline. This allows ample time to address any unforeseen issues and ensures your application is received on time.
3. Two-Round Programmes:
- For programmes with multiple rounds, if your application is submitted late, it will automatically be considered for the next round.
- We will communicate with you regarding the status and next steps for your late application.
- If you miss both rounds within the financial year, reach out to us immediately. We will provide you with upcoming grant opportunities, you can then check your eligibility, that the project meets the outcomes and ensure timely submission.
We strive to support all applicants and ensure that everyone has a fair chance to participate in our grant programmes. We reserve the right to reject any late applications where a satisfactory reason has not been shared with us ahead of a deadline, or no evidence is available that your application was complete and ready to submit.
The Trust decision is final.
* Exceptions might be for solicited applications which are time critical. In these circumstances a specific time and date will be issued to applicant(s) and will be treated as a deadline as detailed above.
