What’s available

One-year grants of up to £100,000.

There are two funding tracks available, and organisations can only pick one track and receive one grant award from this programme.

You can also only apply once. You cannot resubmit your application if you are unsuccessful.

Project Funding Track

  • Grants of up to £50,000 or up to £100,000
  • For existing projects only that are well used by people from Armed Forces communities.
  • Will fund up to 2 Full Time Equivalent staff to deliver your project or activity for a year; plus other reasonable costs.

Core Funding Track

  • For Armed Forces Charities only
  • Grants of up to £50,000 or up to £100,000
  • Will fund up to two Full Time Equivalent core staff where that enables your organisation to keep delivering services.
  • Can also apply for help for transformational costs to help your charity be in a stronger position to deliver services and support in future.

Further guidance on each of these tracks is available below.

Themes and priorities

Organisations applying for a grant will need to show they provide support to people from Armed Forces communities, and that it would have a negative effect, particularly on veterans and Forces families, if their work could not continue.

Support for core costs is available for Armed Forces charities only.

Deadlines and dates to note

If you applied by the closing date, you will receive a decision in November 2021.
