E-Learning: The Armed Forces Covenant and Covenant Duty for Customer Facing Staff
Warwickshire County Council have designed e-learning modules for understanding the Covenant, for customer facing staff.
The training has been developed by Warwickshire County Council on behalf of Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Armed Forces Covenant Partnership with funding from the Trust under the Sustaining Delivery of the Covenant Programme.
This e-learning is designed to:
- give an insight into Service life and culture
- highlight the ‘unique obligations and sacrifices’ made by the Armed Forces community
- use the ‘voice’ of members of this community to give an insight into their lived experiences
- explain the Armed Forces Covenant and the new Covenant Duty
- explain what staff need to be able to do to support this community
- provide staff with sources of information and support to use in their role or to pass on to members of the Armed Forces community.
Who is this e-learning for?
This e-learning is for anyone working within a public sector or other organisation across the UK, who needs to understand what the Armed Forces Covenant is, that there is now a Covenant Duty which applies within Education, Housing and Healthcare, and how you can support the Armed Forces community.
In terms of roles, this e-learning is appropriate for those involved in a ‘customer facing’ role in any part of the organisation.
Pre-requisite
There is an introductory module to the Armed Forces Covenant and community, which is available on our website. This brief module forms a starting point for understanding the Covenant etc. and we recommend those undertaking this module to complete the introductory module first. You can access this training in our Knowledge Network, here.
