Apart Not Alone: Support for Serving Families programme 2024-25
This programme will award grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 for projects that will help to mitigate the impact of long or frequent involuntary separation for families, spouses, and serving personnel, including reservists and their families.

Projects must benefit Armed Forces families impacted by separation
Under the Apart, Not Alone programme the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust will award grants of between £5,000 and £15,000 for projects that will help to mitigate the impact of long or frequent involuntary separation for families, spouses, and serving personnel, including reservists and their families.
Eligibility
We invite applications from:
- A registered charity with substantial recent experience of supporting Armed Forces communities.
- Community interest Company (CIC) with substantial recent experience of supporting Armed Forces communities.
- An Armed Forces unit or base.

What’s available
You can apply for a grant of between £5,000 and £15,000 towards a project being delivered over a period of up to 12 months.
Themes and priorities
We are looking for projects that benefit Armed Forces families impacted by frequent or long periods of involuntary separation.
You will need to show how your project will help to address the impact of isolation on Service families affected by separation.
The programme will need to address one or more following outcomes:
- Reduced impact of separation, loneliness, and isolation for Serving families.
- Improved mental health and wellbeing for Service families.
- Enhanced access to support and activities to improve quality of life.
- Support personnel to reintegrate into family and units post deployment.
Deadlines and dates to note
If you applied by 12 noon on 25 September 2024 you will receive a decision before end of December 2024.
