Board information
The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees who volunteer their time and bring a wealth of experience of the needs of the armed forces community and charity governance.
Seven of our trustees are representatives from His Majesty’s Government or Devolved Administrations, who are nominated by their departments/administrations and appointed by the board. Six of our independent trustees are appointed by the Secretary of State for Defence in accordance with the public appointments process; one is nominated by the chair of the Confederation of Service Charities and appointed by the board, and one is nominated by any one of the Family Federations in turn (AFF; NFF; RAFFF) and appointed by the board.
